First Vice President Tammy Moore conducted the
membership survey this year to provide a picture of the women
in the League today. 32 women were surveyed. Class 2016 is
the largest class in the league. Members’ ages range from 24 to
43 years old. Most women are married and more than half
have one or two children. Most of the children are under 6
years of age with a large portion of those being under 3 years
old.
Most of the active members of the league work full time and
are occupied in Educational, Non-Profit or Legal companies
and organizations. Other industries present are: Banking/
Finance, Information Technology/Computers, Furniture,
Medical/ Healthcare, Government, Telecommunications,
Insurance, Marketing, Software/ Auditing.
Most of the members have joined the league for a
combination of reasons: volunteer opportunities, social
activities, to meet people and to develop leadership. A lot of
members indicated that more social activities in the League
(including families and sustainers) would improve the
organization and help us get to know each other better.
