In an ongoing effort to promote growth and development in children throughout Martinsville and Henry County, the Charity League of Martinsville and Henry County recently awarded 16 area college students with $1,000 scholarships.

2024 Dessert Social was a success! Provisionals, actives, and sustainers enjoyed a wonderful evening with great conversations and yummy desserts at the Christ Episcopal Church Parish House in Martinsville.

April 8: Golf Tournament at Forest Park 

Round up your pals and head to Forest Park Country Club on April 8. Join us for a 4-man (or woman) captain's choice golf tournament to benefit the Charity League of Martinsville & Henry County.

April 22: Enchanted Garden Gala

Find a date or bring a group for a night of fun and fundraising.Put on your dancing shoes and hit the floor with the ladies in pink! The Enchanted Garden Gala is a night of dinner, drinks, and dancing, featuring a silent auction featuring items from our sponsors. All funds raised will go towards educational programming for our events and scholarships.

The Charity League of Martinsville and Henry County awarded 28 scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each to area high school graduates and college students for the 2022-2023 academic year. The Charity League, established in 1931, strives to promote growth and development of children throughout Martinsville and Henry County through education and health programs.

Melissa Anderson, daughter of Mark Anderson and Lisa Honaker, will attend Virginia Commonwealth University.

 

Savannah Brown, daughter of Jeffrey and Renee Brown, will attend Roanoke College.
