The annual Board of Governors meeting was held on Tuesday, January 19, 2010.   Hosted by Chris Poirier, 29 past presidents gathered at Chatmoss Country Club to hear the State of the League Address presented by Beverly Cecil.  Cecil updated the board on the activities and placements of the league members.  Highlights from 2009 included providing 650 stockings to the Salvation Army, increased profits from Bargain Fair, the implementation of two new fundraisers: The 1st Annual "It's for the Kid's 5K", the 1st Annual Charity League Holiday Premiere, and one new placement, The Starting Place.  Meredith Vaughn presented the Treasurer’s report which informed of an overall net increase in 2009.  1st VP Janine Jacob reported that 27 scholarships were awarded to area students in 2009.  Following the reports and discussion, Cecil invited all board members and their families to participate in the 2nd annual 5K race to be held on May 22nd and in the 3rd Annual Putt-Putt Tournament, date to be scheduled soon.
