Change of Presidents: Tiffani Underwood passes the tiara to Beverly Cecil
This past year has been filled with many ups and downs, and I have to admit I am a little sad that it is over. While it was an extremely busy year, it was a very rewarding one as well. This year the league saw an 8.5% increase in bargain fair profits, stuffed over 600 Christmas stockings for needy children in the area, awarded 25 scholarships to help youth in our community further their education, and we welcomed 26 new women into the Charity League of Martinsville and Henry County as the provisional class of 2016!
As I pass the tiara and gavel down to Beverly Cecil, I know the league will only continue to grow and succeed. What an honor to have served as President of such an outstanding organization, and now I get to take on a new title - one that as an active member, I dreamed of achieving and now here it is….I am finally a sustainer!
I can’t believe the last seven years have passed by so quickly. It seems like just yesterday, I got the call from Sharon Shepherd inviting me to join the league. I didn’t know exactly what I was getting into, but I am so glad I said yes. I will always treasure the friendships I have made in the league. One thing I have learned is that working together, we can achieve so much more and with the wealth of knowledge from our sustainers and the energy and enthusiasm of our new provisional class, I know there is no limit to what the league can accomplish in years to come!
Tiffani Underwood
It has been a pleasure to serve on the board of Charity League this year under Tiffani's wonderful and thoughtful leadership.  It is my prayer that I will lead this incredible organization of talented women as well as she has.  Thank you Tiffani, for your dedication.  You will be missed.
