FAST TRACK 2009: Charity League Participates in
the Biggest Show Ever!
By Amanda Witt, active member

The Charity League of Martinsville-Henry County had not one presence but two at the biggest expo in the region. Not only did members work a booth in the floor plan of 157 but they also participated in the Taste of Martinsville-Henry County.

According to several exhibitors, FAST TRACK offers a business or organization one of the best ways to get in front of a lot of people in a relatively short amount of time. It was pointed out that this trade show gives many in the community the opportunity to not only show its products or describe a service, but also to create that all important first impression; which is exactly the impression Charity League wants to make. “We want people to know more about the wonderful things that we do for the children of Martinsville-Henry County “ said Tiffani Underwood, President of the Charity League. Hopefully more people understand the league as there were record numbers going through the doors on both nights. Several thousands of people hopefully have a better idea of what the Charity League is about: helping children!

In addition to exhibiting in the show, league members participated in the Taste of Martinsville-Henry County by making 1,500 of its baked goods to pass out on VIP night. “This was a great chance to showcase our baked goods that we have at many events, and we made $500 that will go towards the children in our community” said Underwood.
