The Fundraising Committee has been busy with events this summer. All Charity League members came together to work the T.G.I.F. concert series in July. This was a premier event bringing Charity League higher revenue than usual. Members sold admission tickets; checked ID’s, sold beer tickets and served beer to the hundreds of concert-goers. A good time was had by all who participated.
On an early August morning, League members Stephanie Hudson, Carol Henderson, Staci Soper and Laura Jones came out to work the Farmer’s Market’s Kid’s Fun Fest. League members had made lots of goodies including: banana chip muffins, breakfast bars, fruit cobblers and monster cookies. We were able to sell many items and a few cookbooks. Carol Henderson continued the League’s profits by taking some of the leftover items to work with her and selling them there. The League still has cookbooks to sell.
Please remember that “Barracuda in Velvet Gloves” cookbook would make an excellent Christmas present. You may contact Laura Jones at lkjones@henry.k12.va.us for cookbook deliveries.
