With a brand new setting complete with a 32 foot Christmas tree, this year’s Charity League Holiday Social was a joyous event. Held in the Harvest Foundation Great Hall at the Virginia Museum of Natural History, approximately 50 guests were entertained with a slide show of photos showcasing that various Charity League events through the years. As we gathered together with friends, new and old, the true meaning of the holidays and the Charity League were apparent as we reminisced over the photos of Bargain Fair, TGIF, past Christmas parties, our 75th Anniversary Gala, Sustainer luncheons, and the many placements showcasing the work we do every year for the children of Martinsville and Henry County.

For those who were kept away last minute due to the threat of icy weather, conflicts or family obligations, we missed you. The social was a great way to say goodbye to 2007 and give us energy and a bright outlook for all the good work with Charity League will accomplish in 2008.
