The Charity League Board would like to thank all of you that responded the Sustainer and Active Surveys. We have analyzed the information you provided, and are looking to make some changes, using your suggestions. As you have heard, The Charity League is undergoing many structural changes this year and we are excited about our new ideas. Overall, we received many positive comments related to our social activities, communication within the league, and future fundraising. We only hope to improve on what we have been doing, while keeping our traditions and values as an organization.

We have many activities planned for this year. We started our fall with a kick! Carrie Bennett, Member Events Secretary, planned a fabulous kick-off event before our first fall meeting. We also plan to host a Stocking Stuffer Party in November, a less formal Christmas event, a fundraising/social event in late winter and the Sustainer Luncheon in the spring. Dates and details on these exciting events are coming!

We already knew that The Charity League of Martinsville and Henry County was a ?hip? organization, but we had no idea that so many of us are computer savvy and surfing the web. We will use this to the advantage of The League this year. The Charity League will soon have a web-site up and running. You will be able to access a calendar of events, newsletter articles, member features, and information on volunteer opportunities from this web-site. We also plan to use the web-site and e-mail to communicate within the league about changes in meetings and reminders of events and dates.
