The Charity League is proud to support local organizations that promote positive development in youth in our community.  Since it began in 1931, The Charity League has sponsored a wide array of children's programs to promote growth and development of children throughout Martinsville and Henry County.

Recently, Sarah Robertson, 1st Vice President, presented a check for $1,000 to Lisa Nunn, Executive Director of The Boys and Girls Club.

Kayla Craddock, Fundraising Secretary, presented a check in the amount of $3,000 to Donna Proctor, Executive Director of Grace Network.

Kayla also presented a check for $500 to Smart Beginnings.  Melanie McLarty, Director of Smart Beginnings, and Tiffani Underwood, Executive Director of the United Way of Henry County & Martinsville, received the check on behalf of Smart Beginnings.

A $500 donation was made to the Blue Ridge Library to support children's programs.  Leighann Harris presented the check to Janet Boucher, children's librarian.
