Bargain FairCharity League of Martinsville & Henry County will host the 45th Annual Bargain Fair, Saturday, October 5th, 2013 at the old Tultex building at 101 E. Commonwealth Blvd. The entrance will be at the intersection of Commonwealth Blvd. and Lester St.  Signs and ladies from the league will be at the guardhouse to direct you to the parking and entrance. Bargain Fair will have a large selection of furniture, kitchen/household items, holiday décor, sporting goods, infant and children necessities, linens, clothing, footwear, books, children’s toys, baked goods and more. This year’s Bargain Fair will include a section of high-end designer clothing for men and women. “We are thrilled with our new location for this year’s event. The new location gives us more space for each department and I’m confident the shoppers will enjoy the extra room to shop,” said Lisa Nunn, Bargain Fair chair. The money raised from this annual event will be used to fund many scholarships and programs throughout the community that support the growth and development of children in our area. The Charity League of Martinsville and Henry County started in 1931 and is comprised of a network of over 400 active and sustainer women. In the past year, the League has given back over $35,000 in donations to support the growth and development of children in our area. Some of the money raised by the Charity League of Martinsville and Henry County has gone to educational scholarships, Missoula Theatre, Commonwealth Cotillion, Boys/Girls Club, Girls on the Run, Grace Network, Salvation Army Stocking Stuffers, Smart Beginnings, Piedmont Arts Minds in Motions, Martinsville Library and more.
