The League awarded 18 scholarships worth $1,000 each to area high school graduates for the 2003-2004 school year.

• Virginia Walker Hamlet Scholarship: Lanca Naomi Cobbler
• The Memorial Scholarship: Emily Grace Lawrence
• The Founder's Scholarship: Justin Ryan Adams
• The Sustainer Scholarship: James Andrew Wimmer II
• The Blue Ridge Scholarship: Lawayne Bradshaw Campbell
• The Adele Dillard Pannill Scholarship: Katherine Carter Gray
• The Catherine Pannill Scholarship: Ryan Frank Hubbard
• The Adele Pannill Carter Charitable Trust Scholarship: Marcus Allen Martin, Portia Nichole Mahan, Morgan Ivy Beavers, Mallory E. Foley, and Joseph Carrington Dillon

This year four renewable scholarships were awarded to Leslie Marie Earles, Kerry Lynn Gravely, Myra Susan Williams and Kevin Lee Joyce. These recipients were chosen by the Charity League Scholarship Committee on the basis of college plans, financial need grade point average and recommendations from high school guidance counselors. The Chairman for the 2003-2004 scholarship committee was Michelle Norris.
